Look at franchising!

We wrote earlier about local entrepreneur Joel Libava who's helping people figure out the mysteries of franchises. Along comes Joel again. This time he's introduced a very cool-looking, sophisticated blog of his own, Ohio Franchise Blog. Nice. Looks like he's taking advantage of a lot of Blogster features.

And not only that, he's a hot property on the biggest franchise blog in the world, Blue MauMau The Web's #1 Franchise Community. This one's a portal where you can read news and articles about franchising in all kinds of industries--fast food, restaurants, travel, retail, etc.--join a community of fellow franchisers, or play with other wannabes.

Way to go, Joel. Way to take advantage of the wonders of blogdom... " ))

Serial/multi-entrepreneur strikes again

Long week away. Been waiting to hear something exciting from our entrepreneurs in NEO and finally did. Our own Anita Campbell, consultant-cum-radio-host-cum-blog/ezine publisher par excellence (including SmallBusinessTrends, SMBTrendWire ), has assumed another new responsibility (how she finds time for all her business ventures is a question for another day) as Executive Editor at Creative Weblogging, a site that acts as kind of a "supercenter" for blogs. She says her role is to grow the network and ensure high quality among the bloggers (numbering about a hundred at this point). She's been blogging there herself for a couple of years already with another of her projects RFID-Weblog.

Categories at Creative Weblogging constitute a potpourri of topics: business/economy/finance, Internet/e-commerce, consumer electronics, dreams, family and home, wireless, "educate me," and gaming/gambling. So in case you're not satisfied with your current sources of information--whether you want new ones or better ones--try subscribing to some of these RSS feeds.

Anita, congratulations once again, and thanks for the update. This is cause for a permanent link in our sidebar.

Count on NEO experts to master Google's new GBuy

At 61% of the search market, Google's in a commanding position, says a UBS analyst. "Google had the strongest results across the board, Schachter wrote in a note to analysts Thursday, with a 29% quarter-over-quarter and 54% year-over-year increase in searches."

Read about the rest, and the rest of the pack here. And count on our NEO master search consultants, Keyphrase Marketing, Emergent Marketing, and SageRock to take you where you want to go.

Perks of the RTA

One of the little benefits of riding the RTA into Tower City is that you get to stop at the Ritz Carlton and--depending on the time of day--enjoy breakfast, snack or a drink.

Having caught an RTA train at 7 in the morning and being on my way to catch the Megabus (report to come later), it was a no brainer to see what they had on the menu for a busy traveler. While I went for the bran muffin, the brioche French toast with vanilla whipped cream and fresh berries sounds worth a trip sometime when I can hang out.

Can't wait til the RTA goes everywhere in Cleveland. It'll be a great day for all.
